Roll of continuous stainless steel wire spiral boning. 1/4" (6mm) or 1/2" (12mm) wide. 10.94 yards long (10 meters). Safe to dry clean. Made in China.
Corset-makers rely on steel boning for well-made corsets. The spiral design of this boning allows it to bend and flex in all directions while still giving strong support, so it's perfect for seams that curve. The 1/4" width is a very popular choice for corsets of all kinds, from offering light support all the way up to waist training and tightlacing corsets. Boning is always placed between two or more layers of fabric, either set into a bone casing, or between a top-stitched seam allowance and the outer fabric.
To cut to your desired length, use very strong wire cutters, clip only the outside wires, and apply a new silver end cap to keep the ends smooth inside the garment.
