There's nothing fancy about the look of these scissors, but they cut well, and that's what matters. Fabric cut on the bias will not fray as much as fabric cut on grain, so pinking shears -- the umbrella name for scissors with blades shaped into bias angles -- are great for making a flat finish on fabric's edge. These shears can be used for cutting many weights and types of fabric from chiffon to denim, or to cut paper decoratively.
