Buttonhole-Cutting Scissors, Made in Italy
These little scissors are made for one thing: cutting slits in fabric of a repetitive fixed length. They could be used for cutting buttonholes, or possibly even for making Renaissance-era slashes? They have a screw mechanism in the center that can allows them to repetitively make cuts in the length set by the screw, up to 3/8" away from the fabric's edge. Screw it out farther for smaller holes -- can be as small as about 1/4"(6mm) length -- or keep it in close for cuts up to 1 1/8" (29mm) long. The scissors measure 4 1/2" (115mm) end to end. Made in Italy for Bias Bespoke.
